I have been in the veterinary medicine field for 31 years and have worked in almost every role from kennel tech, veterinary assistant, front office, emergency (for 11 years) but always as a veterinary technician.

I joined Hilltop 2 years ago because I wanted to work at a clinic that valued, not only their staff, but more importantly valued their clients and their fur babies and never took them for granted. I love being at Hilltop because of the clientele. We have some of the nicest clients who just love their pets and will go to any lengths to help them and it truly shows. I also love being a part of a team that will go above and beyond to help a pet in need.

In my spare time I love spending time with my family, especially my daughter, gardening, crafting, photography and loving on our dog and cats.

Veterinary Technician

I grew up as a small town, country girl from Hutchinson, Kansas and moved to Colorado

in 1998. I attended the University of Northern Colorado and met my wonderful husband in Boulder, Colorado where we raised our 2 children.

I have always had a passion for caring for both humans and animals. I care for goats, chickens, and dogs on our farm in Penrose. My family loves working together on the farm and eating good BBQ.

I joined Hilltop one year ago as the office manager and was attracted to their care for the clients and pets as I have the same passion. I strive to focus on what each client needs and to greet everyone by name. 

Debbie brings a wealth of management experience spanning over two decades to her role as Assistant Office Manager at Hilltop. Originally from Kansas, she relocated two years ago to Colorado to strengthen her bond with her grandchildren. Her dedication to family extends to her husband, her two sons and beloved dog, Beau.

From a young age, Debbie learned the importance of a strong work ethic from her mother, a lesson that has guided her throughout her career. At Hilltop, she wholeheartedly embraces the mission statement of 'Improving lives one pet at a time,' forging meaningful connections with clients and coworkers alike. Debbie finds joy in building bonds within the team, united by a shared passion for animal welfare and compassionate care.

Angela is a 2003 graduate of the University of Southern Colorado-Pueblo (currently known as Colorado State University-Pueblo) in Computer Information Systems, with a minor in Business Administration.

She joined the Hilltop family June 2016, and utilizes her twelve years of administrative experience to help Hilltop as receptionist, administrative duties, patient records and everything else!

Outside of work Angela enjoys spending time with her family, which includes a Chihuahua named Buster. 

Before moving to Colorado, I spent several years in Minnesota managing a dog training/daycare facility and later overseeing operations at a dog hotel. Animals have long been my passion, which has now blossomed into a fulfilling career.

 
My journey with Hilltop began unexpectedly after the tragic loss of my dog. New to the area and unsure where to turn, Hilltop became a supportive refuge during a difficult time. Inspired by their compassion, I am now dedicated to enhancing the lives of pets wherever possible. The love and support I've received from both the clinic and the community have deeply touched me, driving my commitment to animal welfare.
