Geneva - Head Technician
Geneva is a certified veterinary technician (CVT) and graduated from the Colorado Academy of Veterinary Technology in 2011. Geneva started in the veterinary field in 2009 and worked her way up from a kennel technician. She has a very strong passion for this field and finds it very rewarding to help both pets and "their families." She is very compassionate to patients and clients alike, and loves to give each pet that comes in as much love as possible.
Geneva enjoys teaching and educating clients and staff about dental cleaning and different ways to do surgical procedures. Geneva learned her love for surgeries at a very busy spay and neuter clinic where she helped in about 30 surgeries a day. Geneva started at Hilltop Pet Clinic in July of 2015 and states, "I am so glad to be a part of this amazing team."
Geneva was born and raised in Colorado Springs and has many ties to the Pueblo area. Both her parents and her grandparents are Pueblo natives. She and her husband love anything outdoors, including fishing, camping, hunting and ATVing, and, of course, playing with Iggy (their Rottweiler) and Ebony (their Pomeranian).
Jenna - Veterinary Technician
Jenna is currently attending Cedar Valley College (through AAHA's distance learning program) to obtain her CVT while working full time at Hilltop. Not one for sitting still, Jenna has a lifelong love of animals and is an active member of the Chihuahua Club of America, the Southern Colorado Kennel Club, and the Miniature Pincher Club of America. She actively shows and trains champion Toy Breeds across the United States.
Jenna loves both people and pets and is passionate about enhancing the Human Animal Bond, Preventative Care and educating our wonderful clients. Jenna has worked in the veterinary field for 4 years before coming to Hilltop. Her special interests in the veterinary field include preventative medicine, reproduction, radiology and parasitology. Jenna joined Hilltop in June of 2015 as the first "new" employee to come on board following Hilltop's ownership transition and Jenna states "I'm proud to be a part of the Hilltop team and am looking forward to improving the lives of the pets and owners we see each and every day!"
Jenna enjoys spending time with Bentley (her 5 year old long coat Chihuahua), Scooter and Dior (her 2 and a half year old long coat Chihuahua). In her free time she enjoys photography, hiking with her "kids", training and conditioning for shows, and cooking.
Elena - Veterinary Assistant
Elena is a 2006 graduate in veterinary assisting and joined the Hilltop family in September, 2015. With over 10 years of extensive veterinary assistant work, Elena combines her great skill set with a passion for the patients, the clients and the community that we serve, and states "I feel very blessed to join a team that allows me to utilize my skills and also challenges me to grow. The vision of Dr. Crook and Kathy Crook is in alignment with the passion and love I have for our patients, clients and community...to provide outstanding care for every individual."
Elena is married with 4 children and currently does not have any four legged babies, but states that allows her to dog sit for all her beloved little critters. Elena's favorite breed is the Dachshund, but she states that she really just loves them all.
Gabby - Veterinary Assistant
Gabby has wanted to work with animals from the time she was 6 years old. Many of Hilltop's beloved clients already knew Gabby from the five years she worked across the street at the Paw Cottage boarding facility, and can't forget her because of her warm, caring, positive attitude and bright happy smile! She came to Hilltop last fall after graduating from PIMA Medical Institute as a Veterinary Assistant. Gabby states that since starting at Hilltop, "...it has been such a blessing to get the opportunity to work with such an amazing staff... Every day we all come to work and we live by our Mission Statement, "Improving Lives One Pet at a Time!”
Gabby is currently attending the Colorado Academy of Veterinary Technicians to become a certified veterinary technician.
Outside of work, Gabby enjoys spending time with her son and finance, as well as their 6 pets. Gabby has 3 cats, 2 dogs and a spider. Gabby also enjoys adding to her “101 Dalmatians” collection, working out, and playing video games as well as watching the Denver Broncos (her "one and only team”).
Amy - Kennel Assistant
Amy graduated from high school several years ago, after being home schooled, and is currently in a Certified Veterinary Assistant training program. She began working at Hilltop Pet Clinic as a kennel assistant in September 2016 and has a passion for all animals but dogs in particular.
Amy works primarily in the "back" of the clinic and loves every minute of it. She loves to be organized and to keep the clinic clean. One of Amy’s favorite aspects of the job is that every day she gets to work with and get to know all sorts of companion animals. After joining the Hilltop team, and working firsthand alongside the technicians, Amy is considering going to school to become a Certified Veterinary Technician.
In her down time, Amy loves to write and can also solve a Rubik's cube in 37 seconds. She is a Washington State native and moved to Pueblo when she met her husband in a Missionary Apprentice program. She has a German Shepherd named Jasper who is still living in Washington.
Amy Lynn - Receptionist
Amy Lynn graduated with honors as a Phi Theta Kappa from Otero Junior College with an Associates of Science Degree in Biology and Education in 2015. She also earned the honor of being recognized in Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges in Education.
Amy Lynn joined the Hilltop team as a receptionist in the spring of 2017. She has multiple years of customer service experience and enjoys working with the clients and their pets Her goal is to become a Certified Veterinarian Assistant. Amy Lynn looks forward to a long career with Hilltop Pet Clinic.
Outside the clinic, Amy Lynn keeps busy with her family, two dogs and her cat named Tigger.
Angela - Receptionist/Admin.
Angela is a 2003 graduate of the University of Southern Colorado-Pueblo (currently known as Colorado State University-Pueblo) in Computer Information Systems, with a minor in Business Administration.
She joined the Hilltop family June 2016, and utilizes her twelve years of administrative experience to help Hilltop as receptionist, administrative duties, patient records and everything else!
Outside of work Angela enjoys spending time with her family, which includes a Toy Poodle named Missy, and two Chihuahuas named Buster, and Dusty.
Cindy - Receptionist
Cindy grew up on a farm in Pennsylvania and then moved to California during her early and adult life. She attended college and became a licensed Psychiatric Technician.Cindy worked with the State of California in various nursing and psychiatric facilities. She retired after 38 years as a Program Director in 2015 and moved with her husband and youngest of five children to Pueblo West.
Cindy joined Hilltop as a receptionist in a part-time role. She is excited to work with staff and pets at Hilltop and to use her skills to help the clinic, clients, and pets!
Cindy has two dogs and two cats who demand much of her attention when home. Her hobbies include puzzles, jigsaw, video games, and visual puzzles. She loves camping with her husband and enjoying the beauty of Colorado.
Leah - Kennel Assistant
Leah moved to Pueblo West 16 years ago with her family where she discovered her love for working with all types of animals. She showed horses and dogs for 10 years. Leah shares her passion for animals by working with them to get through tough times and by encouraging and teaching their owners.
Leah joined Hilltop in the spring of 2017 as a kennel assistant. Leah states she feels blessed to be working at Hilltop and enjoys working with such an amazing team.
Outside of work, Leah enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys. She also enjoys riding her horses and taking care of their small farm. Leah enjoys going to the park where she can play with her boys and dog, Taz. She wants all to know she is a huge Denver Broncos fan.
